This website serves as a digital guide to the archaeological site of the Castle City of Servia. In it, you will find material on the history of the city of Servia and detailed information (photographs, drawings, historical information, and bibliography) on all the monuments of the archaeological site of Servia, as well as on the restoration work that has been carried out in it by the Ministry of Culture.
The website aims to group information scattered in individual academic publications and provide the general public with a helpful information guide, which will continue to be enriched and updated by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani staff. At the same time, the visitors of the archaeological site will be able to have a complete overview of the monuments of the Byzantine Castle City of Servia during their tour from their mobile device, interacting with the unique QR codes on the information signs placed at selected points of the archaeological site.
The creation of this website is part of the implementation of the Act “Consolidation and Restoration of the Western Tower of the Castle of Servia,” which was implemented by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani and co-funded by Greece and the European Union / European Regional Development Fund through the Operational Programme “Western Macedonia” of the NSRF 2014-2020.
